In the first dream I was in a house that sat on the side of a set of railroad tracks with a large fence that separated it from me and my neighbors. Looking back now it was very reminiscent of large dog kennels with the fences going all the way up to the house on each side and the top left open.
Each night a train would stop in front of the house to drop off the never ending flood of Albanian refugees who were seeking a place to stay. They would run up to the homes where people would open their gates and give them shelter for the night.
We were waiting for a friend to arrive on one of the trains (I believe it was an old acquaintance of mine from the Emily/Nikki/Kate circle named Jodi D.), and we had the house all set up to welcome her. There was a drummer playing along to songs karaoke style, and behind him was a large white screen that hung from the ceiling. On the screen we had random pictures of people in strange predicaments and their faces were removed so that one of us in the room could place our faces in the void instead. We laughed so hard at the various facial expressions I was making as we waited for our friend to arrive.
A short while later I went outside and waited for her in the darkness behind the fence. The first train pulled up and all of the refugees poured out like zombies, wandering up to all of the houses hoping for someone to open the fence. I tried my best to go unnoticed but one of them saw me and before I knew it they were everywhere. They began banging on my fence, and eventually they had started to climb up to the top where I was helpless to stop them. Just as the first one had successfully climbed over and jumped down next to me Kasia must have bumped me because I woke up pushing her away as if she was trying to get in as well.
In the next dream I had just punched in for my shift working in a wood shop. I was holding a piece of wood and as I brought it to my nose I inhaled deeply and said "Ahhhhh...there’s nothing like the smell of pine in the morning!"
I looked over to see Kramer from Seinfeld shopping in the aisles. He picked out a small storage bin and as he walked further down the aisle he kept finding bigger and bigger ones. Eventually he was looking at the storage boxes which held the storage boxes and I took him outside and said "You call than an office? Now THIS is an office!" as we stared at the huge tree fort of my place of employment in all its glory.
I turned around to find a large wooden house that was in complete disrepair, and a woman came outside to tell Kasia and I that the owner would like us to take some pictures of the house for her. I was so excited!
